Just wanted to write a quick post to share with you a few of my newest travel essentials –
1. Salvage Public Reusable Canvas Tote
Reusable bags are the way to go, even when you’re being a tourist in a far-off land. And when you’re out exploring, you never know when you’ll find the perfect omiyage or souvenir and will need a bag to take it home. This canvas tote from Salvage Public folds up nicely and fits perfectly in my bag.
2. Beautycounter Countermatch Sleep Recovery Cream
Travel can wreak havoc on your skin — I’m from a tropical, humid climate so the change in climate + the dryness in flight tends to really dry me out. This BEAUTYCOUNTER Countermatch Sleep Recovery Cream is a nighttime moisturizer has hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid s amazing at plumping up skin, and like all other Beautycounter products, this moisturizer is free of phthalates, parabens, and synthetic fragrances. $65 (a little goes a long way).
3. SK-II Facial Treatment Mask
Facial masks are a savior on long-haul flights and to calm freaked out skin. This SK-II Facial Treatment Mask – is a splurge for sure but there is a reason that this Japanese brand has a cult following. $17/1 | $95/6 | $135/10 (or buy them in Japan at a duty free store to save a little more).
4. Megababe Rosy Pits Deodorant
This one is a little personal but I am really loving my Megababe Rosy Pits. It’s an aluminum-free antiperspirant and deodorant made with sage and green tea that is all natural, not weird, and smells nice! A keeper. After I bought this one they came out with a travel size! Genius.
5. Sunglasses That Look Good and Fit Good
And finally, sunglasses. Good sunglasses are a daily essential if you don’t want to get pterygium, but during travel it is important to remember to get a pair that fits comfortably both on your face and on your head (when you’re ducking in and out of shops or museums, etc). The pretty pink ones in the photo above are from Korean fashion house Gentle Monster, but I also love my new pairs from Diff. (Diff is particularly nice because they’re so affordable so you don’t feel so bad if you lose them.)
