On our phone call, we will talk about your favorites, likes and dislikes, current trip aspirations, ideal budget, travel style, plus discuss fees and our agency process. This is an informal phone chat, meant for me to get to know you better.
If you absolutely hate phone conversations or are insanely busy and feel that your needs can be adequately conveyed through email, please let me know and we'll figure something out.

Planning & Proposal
STEP 3
After our call, I'll send over a recap of our call, followed by a complete fee proposal. Once our non-refundable fee is paid, Marissa will start curating your trip with in-destination parters and will craft an initial itinerary proposal with fitting accommodations, guides, transfers, and experiences for your ideal vacation.
Full-service clients: after reviewing your bespoke electronic proposal, simply select your favorite hotel and activity options and we'll send over a complete package proposal that bundles everything together.
If you've opted for Consulting Services only, you'll receive a beautiful proposed itinerary with links to book your own tickets and guides. We will of course book your selected hotels with preferred partner inclusions.

Approval and Booking
STEP 4
Once we've gone through the final selection process and you approve our itinerary, we'll work with my trusted luxury travel partners to make your bookings (depending on package selection). We'll send the finalized electronic itinerary with emergency, in-destination contact information one week prior to departure.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are Your Consulting and Planning Fees?
Our minimum investment for our Custom Itinerary Planning package is $750 and may increase with trip complexity (i.e., a group of travelers or an itinerary with several desired destinations, etc.). This fee will be waived for honeymoons if we plan your wedding room block together. Note that when we plan and manage your vacation, our pricing is presented as a package with everything included from the moment you leave your doorstep.
If you would like our agency to design your itinerary and book your hotels with perks + any private transportation and private touring and leave finalization of the rest of the activities & excursions to you, the consulting fee is $575.
We base our service fee on how long we estimate that it will take to our team create and service your itinerary and coordinate with our air team and preferred partner suppliers.
How Far Ahead Should We Plan?
For international destinations, the soonest that we can start actually booking anything is about ten months prior to departure, but we can start dreaming up your Bucket List trips now. For Consulting or Planning services with close-in-time departures (within 2 months of departure), an additional $250 service fee will apply. This fee does not apply for hotel-only preferred partner bookings.
WHEN WOULD WE BE A BAD MATCH FOR CUSTOM PLANNING SERVICES?
If you absolutely require a breakdown of all package costs because you'd like to price shop and prefer to book on your own, our Custom Itinerary Planning services may not be a great fit. Many of our supplier partners prefer to bundle pricing, meaning that clients will only see the negotiated flat rate that includes all requested or proposed services -- airport meet & greet, transfers, private tour guides, and sometimes even hotels included - so this is how the package will be presented to you. After your approval of a complete itinerary, a non-refundable deposit will be required to confirm the booking.
For clients who like final control over all the details, we will book your air and hotels and design your ideal itinerary, then send you links to book suggested tours and experiences and connect you with an in-destination concierge -- leaving the final steps in your hands. The cost for this more limited Design Only service begins at $575, and includes consultation with Marissa, preferred partner hotel and resort bookings, and all her insider knowledge and resources.

Our besties at SmartFlyer are constantly working on partnerships with individual luxury properties and as an agency SmartFlyer is being invited to elite partnerships faster than we can update our site, so it's always best to reach out directly if you have a property in mind that you don't see.
