Review: Aer Lingus Business Class (SEA to DUB) on an Airbus A330-200

We used miles to get two business class tickets (in lay-flat seats) from Seattle to Dublin on Aer Lingus. We booked them later than usual for us (10 months out is our ideal planning time), but we changed up our plans so that we could visit friends in Seattle before heading to Europe.

You have to pay for lap babies for international trips when you pay for seats with miles. The cost for the lap baby is usually 10% of the cost of your seat on the day that the baby is ticketed. We paid $428.90 for Jules’ ticket, which means the cost of my seat would have been $4,289 if we hadn’t used miles.

Seats were comfortable, and I love Aer Lingus’ color scheme (greens, of course!). Our flight crew was professional and kind—and super patient! Jules was one of four or five kids in business class (out of 23 seats), so it wasn’t your typical business class cabin, lol.

You can never have enough water on a flight. Crystal Geyser, though, feels more Costco than chic for Aer Lingus business class.

Our flight left Seattle at 7:20pm, so they served us both dinner and breakfast. We tried the seared salmon with red quinoa pilaf and an herb-crusted chicken with wild mushroom agnolotti. Neither was memorable, but they weren’t offensive either. Dessert was your choice of “chocolate nemesis” or a cheese course (not both). I tried the cheese in hopes that Jules would like some, but she passed. We tried to sleep for as long as possible, so we missed breakfast (a full Irish breakfast plus pastries).

The swag bag was pretty lame (cheapy material and very masculine), but all the essentials were there: socks, eye mask, earplugs, hand cream, lip balm, and a toothbrush/toothpaste.

The swag bag matched my striped skirt, lol, so you’re getting a photo I took on the plane.

All in all, the Aer Lingus Seattle to Dublin flight was great. The timing of the flight made it ideal, and the flight attendants were all super nice. Food and swag bag could use some improvement, but all in all, a YAY from me.
